RDR2’s NPC carrying was amazing — GTA VI trunks could take it even further

GameRelease.online Newsroom May 7, 2026, 01:02 PM

One of the best things about RDR2 was the ability to carry bodies, dead or alive. It allowed for so much freedom: you could hogtie them, drag them behind your horse, feed them to predators, toss them off cliffs etc… It made the world feel incredibly reactive. I really hope GTA VI adopts this. Since we used horses to transport bodies in RDR2, it would be **cool** to do the same with vehicles, storing NPCs in the trunk to transport them across the map. Being able to do all those crazy things, and even expand on them in more insane, modern ways, would be amazing and completely wild. The same idea has already started to surface elsewhere, which gives the update more weight than a one-off mention on its own.

Why the PC timing question matters

PC-related GTA 6 stories stay hot because Rockstar still has not attached a public PC date to the release, which leaves every plausible timing clue under heavy scrutiny.

The wider picture

The same point is now turning up across official material, wider coverage, and community discussion.

That overlap matters because it helps separate an isolated mention from a report that is starting to hold together from more than one direction.

The report also carries 1 image, and that matters because GTA 6 coverage often turns on visual details just as much as the wording around them.

What comes next

The next step is to see whether another outlet, executive comment, or official channel lines up around the same PC timing question. That is when speculation starts turning into a stronger release clue.
